Motovario

The team formed by Chris Cutropia, Zach Waters and Lawrence White of Motovario USA has developed a component to be built into our geared motors to improve the reliability of the wastewater treatment process.

In detail, the design is a combined solution with a parallel gear reducer pivoted to the helical input shaft, which uses a load cell connected to the torque arm to return an electric signal directly proportional to the torque.

The system, designed with Motovario HQ technical support, can control the torque on the output shaft with high speed and precision, anticipating torque peaks, which are very frequent in this type of application where combined units have very low gear ratios and service factors.
