Motovario

The President of the Modena Chamber of Commerce Giuseppe Molinari, on a visit to Motovario, was able to see firsthand the significant investments that the management at Motovario has so far implemented in the last two years.

 

The production department has seen many changes, and not only in terms of investments and innovation, but also in terms of various activities aimed at eco-sustainability.

 

We are becoming greener every day thanks to ISO 14001 certification, a testament to how at Motovario we are taking it upon ourselves to improve and maintain an efficient environmental management system.

 

This goal includes major changes made to energy management at the plant.

 

Through specific analyses and the introduction of "domotics" in the management of lighting and compressed air, we have achieved savings of over 400 MWh per year, or the equivalent of over 170 tons of CO2.

 

The changes in the production department relate not only to the saving of energy but also to the well-being of the employees and to optimisation of the layout to improve production in terms of quality and quantity.

An example of this is the new motor assembly area, organised from the perspective of Lean Production: the workstation has been designed to be more ergonomic and operators will not use energy for NVA (non-value added) activities, but will prioritise those that are value added.
