Two new assembly lines for helical gear reducers and helical bevel gear reducers

14 December 2021

Big news for the end of 2021: two new multi-station assembly lines have been installed in the Formigine plant.

The new multimix lines, devoted to the assembly of the H series helical gear reducers and the B series helical bevel gear reducers, are used to assemble all the product ranges with a “zero setup” and with a production rate that is double that of assembly on traditional benches.

This aspect enables us to provide a higher level of service to our customers, making Motovario extremely flexible and reactive on global markets.

The new lines have been integrated with Jidoka self-diagnostic systems that detect any process drifts and defects, and the process is stopped automatically.

These innovative systems further improve the quality of Motovario products, guaranteeing customers excellent products in full compliance with specific quality standards.

The application of Lean Production methods, by integrating the pillars of internal logistics with those of production, ensures the right synchronism between the control of materials and the needs of the lines, guaranteeing the transformation of the product in full compliance with the TAKT time.

Moreover, through the application of workplace organization tools, 40% of non value added activities have been removed and the subsequent rebalancing of the work phases has allowed for a productivity increase that is 45% higher than performance on traditional benches.

Motovario continues to invest in production processes to keep on offering highly competitive quality products on the market, while focusing on one of its core values: innovation.

Heart of motion!
