Garrett Hopson, Regional Sales Manager Motovario USA, has won this month’s Sales Champions Cup with the important acquisition of a project entailing the automation of a new in-line rolling and welding plant, which is to supply some of the US government’s direct users.

The designers needed to ensure a high torque at the start and to keep it constant during operation at different speeds while controlling frequent overloads.

Garrett Hopson, together with TSS (Motovario’s Technical Sales Support), successfully proposed a complete package consisting of a gear reducer, motor and inverter that perfectly matched the application requirements.

 

The solution, which will soon be delivered and installed, includes:

- MHD series gear reducer, equipped for controlling overloads and with active feedback diagnostics

- TECO-Westinghouse NEMA 500HP high-efficiency electric motor with increased protection levels

- TECO inverter with integrated PLC functions for precise work cycle management
