The Machining Centres 90-91 team has been awarded the Q2.

The SMED project was developed by the team through a careful and methodical analysis of the initial condition of the workstations, where measures to be carried out for the continuous improvement of ergonomics, quality and reduction of batch size and setup times were pinpointed.

Thanks to the “5S” method, basic conditions were restored through waste reduction (MUDA).

Following the relayout work, new standards and operating procedures were drawn up to implement the changeover.

Result: 30% reduction in setup times, data that demonstrates the collective commitment to operational excellence.

What made this achievement significant was the active participation of the operators. Their dedication and involvement proved that change is possible when acting as a close-knit, goal-orientated team.
