Lean Cup Q3, 2023: the production capacity of helical bevel gear reducers has increased by 75%
03 January 2024In 2022, the installation of two new multi-station assembly lines with zero setup fitted with Jidoka Self-Diagnostic System for helical bevel and coaxial gear reducers was completed. This investment has increased the daily production capacity by 40%.
Nevertheless, market demand continued to grow; this is why the “B series helical bevel gear reducer press upgrade” project was completed during the third quarter of 2023.
Headlining this update was the expert team formed by Marco Vezzali, Alfonso Adinolfi, Alberto Orlando, Massimiliano Pistis, Adil Habib, Acrhaf Nouira, Raffaele Ferrara, Robert Mot, Di Lecce, and Davide Serri, who applied Workplace organization and Logistics to develop a new area in the plant.
Resulting in: 4 new presses for assembling helical bevel gear reducers, which increased flexibility and overall capacity by 75%.
