The latest project in the Operation Area has just been awarded the Lean Cup Q3, our quarterly cup that evaluates improvement projects implemented in production areas.

The aim of this project was extremely ambitious and challenging: to create a component picking area in the inbound areas to ensure the just in time assembly lines are fed by the Mizusumashi.

Thanks to the integration of the Workplace Organization and Internal Logistics pillars, picking and feeding flows have been redesigned for minimal material handling.

The amazing teamwork has achieved the following results:

• Zero downtime while waiting for material
• 5% increase in departmental productivity
