Motovario

This year will see the start of the Winter Olympics, which are set to continue up to the 20th of February.

This year’s edition is taking place in Beijing, in China, about 1000 km from our Chinese branch  Motovario Shanghai.

With this edition, Beijing will become the first city to have hosted both the Summer and Winter Olympics.

As much as 91 countries will take part and there will be 109 medal events.

 

There are 15 sports involved in the Winter Olympics:

• Biathlon
• Bobsleigh and sledge
• Nordic combined
• Curling
• Ice hockey
• Figure and speed skating
• Ski jumping
• Alpine, cross-country and freestyle skiing
• Short track skating
• Skeleton
• Snowboarding

 

Italy will take part in 86 of the 109 competitions, as we will not be represented in all the disciplines.

There are 118 athletes involved (72 men and 46 women), to whom we would like to wish the best of luck!
