Motovario member of CiA with the DRIVON
19 August 2022Motovario obtained the certification of the international body CiA in 2015 thanks to the Drivon, the line of integrated inverter-motor designed and built by Motovario and equipped as standard with CANopen functions.
In 2022, the certificate of membership for the consortium was renewed, and Motovario was also issued with a document that allows it to display the CiA logo. Drivon is therefore a product that complies with CANopen network standards, and Motovario has access to all the technological and market-related data needed for carrying out constant updates.
CANopen is one of the means by which Drivon is able to carry out data transmission and manage industrial devices for the control of machines/systems in many industrial sectors.
The Drivon has CANopen integrated in the inverter CPU. Other communication networks to which Drivon can connect through interface cards are: Modbus RTU (integrated), Ethernet IP, ProfiNet, EtherCAT and Ethernet over EtherCAT.
